From 17 to 20 September 2023, a selection of 35 international buyers from countries such as China, France, Spain and the United States went on an immersive tour of Quebec’s terroir and craft distilleries.
For this first Vinexpo Explorer dedicated to spirits, they discovered an incredible breeding ground for experimentation and creativity, new flavours and novel products, including the new signature symbol that deserves to be shared around the world – Acerum, the maple-based cousin to rum.
FACTS & FIGURES

Québec is recognised for the uniqueness of its land. Fertile soils and productive orchards sit alongside vast swathes of boreal forest. Mountains are home to crystal-clear streams. Kilometres of marine coastline provide refuge for a rich variety of animal and plant life. This unrivalled natural setting has provided the birthplace for Québec’s distilleries, its inherent flavours and aromas conducive to crafting distinctive, one-of-a-kind spirits: boreal herbs, maple, grains, seaside plants, fruits and algae are just a few examples of ingredients used to create Québec spirits.
